I have had the most fun capturing this beautiful girl over the past year. I saw her a little before Christmas and in just a few months she has grown so much. Babies change drastically at the one year mark. They start becoming little humans with big personalities.

We had a cold snap on the morning of her session, so I was worried she may be grumpy. But not this girl, she was not going to let anything rain on her parade. She is such a happy and delightful baby. And she was a smash cake master. She really enjoyed her sweet breakfast, as you can see ;)

It’s hard for me to grasp how quickly the past year went by. My 2015 was pretty off the rails. It involved a new baby, sleep deprivation, balancing home life and being a full time business owner, selling our house, starting the process of building a new home, and my daughter started Kindergarten. I hope I do not sound ungrateful! A lot of amazing things happened last year and my heart is so full. But my energy level was drained. I know there are a lot of other Mom’s out there that can completely relate. The balancing act is a tough one sometimes.

So far this year is going great. I feel like all the changes are coming together and we are getting a routine again. My son is starting to sleep through the night a little better (hallelujah) and our house should be finished by the summer! And I’m so excited to finally have space for a home studio! I can’t wait to offer the option to my clients.

One thing that completely fell through the cracks last year was blogging and sharing my beautiful clients. So every now and then I want to take the time to do a throwback blog from last year.

This blog is from last year and features one of my beautiful little newborns and her parents. We were able to do a mixed session with the family shots outdoors and then focus on the baby inside. These parents were so kind and I could instantly see how insanely in love they were with their new baby. The Mom impressed me so much with her positive outlook and her energy just after having a baby! It’s funny how positivity is contagious. I just love this session.

I first met this family two years ago when they were pregnant with their son. The Mom and I became friends on facebook, so I’ve gotten to see her little guy grow and change over the past two years. When she contacted me to set up her maternity and newborn this time around, I was so excited to finally see them and catch up in real life!

I have so many people tell me that they love this Mom’s first maternity pictures (beautiful mama in the black tank on my website).  I was super excited about capturing baby number two (and slightly nervous about living up to the first awesome session we had)!

This time around we got to include their sweet little boy. The parents brought his favorite dump truck, which he is completely in love with. He didn’t want to leave his dump truck, but we were able to distract him enough to get some great family shots. I’m so looking forward to meeting their second son when he makes his arrival. Congrats to this sweet, growing family!

I always love capturing birthday pictures, and the first birthday is extra special! The first year goes by so quickly. It feels like one day they are helpless little newborns, then you blink your eyes and they are eating, walking, and sometimes talking little humans! It’s truly amazing.

I had so much fun at this little fella’s first birthday session! He is so cute with the sweetest personality. We had a long session and he was smiling the whole entire time. He loves his Mommy and Daddy, and Mickey Mouse too. Wishing him a very Happy First Birthday!!

It has been over ten years since I first met this beautiful lady. I had just been hired to the pediatric unit at a local hospital and she was assigned to be my preceptor. Let me tell you, I lucked out because she is a phenomenal nurse. She taught me so much over those ten weeks of training and we became instant friends.

A lot has changed since those days when we were in our early 20′s. Back then we would work a 12 hour shift, then go out until two am. Now we have playdates and go to bed early. But we wouldn’t change a thing :)

I am so happy for her growing family! These two definitely win the funnest parents award. They go everywhere with their daughter. I forget the exact number, but their daughter has been on over 20 flights and she just turned three! Their facebook feeds are like a travel magazine, I love it!

We had a great session capturing her adorable belly and some three year old pictures of their daughter. I can’t wait to hold their new baby girl when she makes her arrival. I know she is already loved so much.

The first time I met this family was about 10 months ago when their son was born. I have had the privilege of capturing them a few times since then and always have a blast catching up with the parents. This session was extra special because the Mom’s grandparents made a trip all the way from Peru to meet their great grandson! It was awesome to be able to capture four generations.

N & C are Six Months | Orlando Family Photographer

Thursday, January 14th, 2016

I’ve loved watching this family grow over the past two years! I met them for the first time at their little girls newborn session nearly two years ago now. I had the honor of capturing her milestone pictures every six months. And now I’m getting to do the same thing with her little twin brothers.

It always amazes me how much babies change between their newborn pictures and six months. These little guys grew so much! And I was even more amazed by this Mom and Dad. Being able to get themselves and their three little’s ready, and to this session on time! I give major credit to parents of multiple babies and toddlers. I feel like a hot mess on most days since I had my second baby a year ago, and my older daughter was almost five when he was born. This Mom is a superstar <3 Please take a look at all of the cuteness below:

T-L Family | Winter Park Family Photographer

Thursday, January 14th, 2016

There were definitely a lot of laughs on this chilly December morning session in Winter Park. When I first saw this family walking towards me at Kraft Azalea Gardens with big smiles on their faces, I knew it was going to be a fun session.

The Mom had told me during booking that her younger daughter was a little slow to warm up to new people. Which is totally ok with me! I love quiet kids who are a little shy when you first meet them. I always enjoy watching their personality slowly blossom and start to shine over the length of the session. One of the greatest things about kids who are on the quiet side is that when you get a smile out of them, it is a completely genuine one. This little girl was no different. And her big sister was so sweet, her smile was contagious.

I was so happy we got a chance to do some photos with just the Mom and Dad during our session. That’s one thing I always strive to do during family sessions. This couple not only has a beautiful family together, but they are also both Chiropractor’s and run their practice together ( www.encompasschiropractic.com).

The love and lightness of this easy going family translates beautifully into their images. Please take a look!

Miss Z | Orlando Children’s Photographer

Saturday, January 17th, 2015

I first photographed this family about two and a half years ago when Miss Z was a little tiny newborn. Over a year went by before I saw her again and I was blown away by all the changes a year made. She went from a sleepy, helpless little newborn, to a strong, independent, and smart little one year old girl. I was also amazed how much she changed this past year, from age one to two. At our session this year she was sweet, independent, so smart and could sing her ABC’s and recognize her letters, sing many songs, and say “no” like only a toddler can. We were shooting at one of my favorite locations on a beautiful December afternoon. When we arrived I realized the park had built a big playground since the previous time I was there. I was pretty disappointed because I prefer not to use locations with visible playgrounds when photographing young children. It is too much of a distraction! And as most two year olds would do, Miss Z insisted to go on the slide. But after lots of coaxing from her parents and myself, we were able to get her attention long enough to get some wonderful pictures and capture the genuine personality of Miss Z.

I’m so happy that she is my official first blog of 2015 (Happy New Year, btw!). Love this girl.
